Created by Erik Ravelo, a Cuban artist at Fabrica, these art pieces embody the idea of colour and of a woollen thread linking all humankind.
KAMA SUTRA
In the name of love.
The Kama Sutra, written between the first and fourth centuries AD, is the oldest book on the subject of love and eroticism. It describes the propensity of the mind for the pleasure of touch, sight, taste, hearing and smell according to the degree to which the individual who uses them derives satisfaction from them. It teaches us to use all five of ours senses to listen to the life around us.
The Kama Sutra also examines many aspects of the relationship between a man and a woman: how to be a good citizen, the knowledge of arts such as music, song, dance, painting, poetry, cooking and gardening. Poor knowledge of these arts may undermine the pleasure of love because it lowers the ability to communicate and express oneself. Indeed, closeness with another inevitably requires a deep knowledge of oneself and the person in question.
Consequently, the "Lana Sutra" is above all a tribute to love that eliminates differences. It is the moment of an encounter without barriers and a shared feeling of pleasure.True love occurs when the image that appears in front of us no longer reflects us , when the perceptiond of otherness does not activate the mechanism of fear and judgement , Men and women of different colours, in sickness and in health , rich or poor , happy or sad , all belong to a single race : humanity: In the name of love.

Il Kamasutra, scritto tra il primo e il quarto secolo dopo Cristo, è il libro più antico sul tema dell’amore e dell’erotismo. Racconta la propensione della mente per il piacere del tatto, della vista, del gusto, dell’udito, dell’odorato, nella misura in cui l’individuo che li pratica ne trae soddisfazione. Insegna ad ascoltare con i nostri sensi, tutti e cinque, la vita che ci gira intorno.
Il Kamasutra descrive anche molti argomenti che riguardano la relazione tra uomo e donna: come essere un buon cittadino, la conoscenza di arti come il canto, la musica, la danza, la scrittura, la pittura, la poesia, la cucina, il giardinaggio. Una scarsa conoscenza di queste arti può compromettere il piacere dell’amore perché abbassa il potere di comunicazione e di espressione del Sé: avvicinarsi all’altro passa inevitabilmente attraverso un lavoro profondo di conoscenza, di se stessi e di chi ci sta di fronte.

l Lana Sutra , dunque, è soprattutto un inno all'amore che annulla le differenze.E' lo spazio di un incontro senza barriere e di un sentire -di un sentire piacere - comune. Si ama veramente quando davanti ci appare un'immagine che non ci riflette più, quando la percezione del diverso non attiva il meccanismo della paura e del giudizio. Donne e uomini di colori diversi , sani ,malati, ricchi e poveri, felici e disperati siamo tutti di una sola razza , l'umanità. In nome dell'amore.
